Terms of Use

Effective October 20, 2026 · Taroter Inc. · Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

1. Who we are and who can use Taroter

Taroter is operated by Taroter Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Contact support@taroter.app about these terms, purchases, accessibility, or privacy. These terms govern your use of our website, the Taroter apps for Android and iOS, and related services. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. By confirming your age and accepting these terms, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase a membership. Availability is subject to applicable law and payment-provider restrictions.

2. AI entertainment, characters and voice

Taroter provides AI-generated fictional characters, tarot-themed conversations and synthetic voice for entertainment and reflection. You are interacting with software, not a human reader, psychic or licensed professional. Responses may be inaccurate, inconsistent or inappropriate. Card imagery and generated dialogue do not predict events or guarantee outcomes.

Do not rely on sessions for medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional decisions. The service is not an emergency or crisis service. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share, or sensitive details that are unnecessary for your session.

3. Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Google sign-in is optional. Free access and purchase availability may require an account. Do not impersonate others, bypass usage limits, misuse refunds or attempt unauthorized access.

Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual-property rights. Do not use it to harass, exploit or harm people, distribute unlawful content, or disrupt the service. We may restrict misuse and investigate fraud.

4. Memberships, pricing and automatic renewal

The Membership page and checkout show the offer, currency, billing interval and amount. Unless checkout states otherwise, displayed prices are US dollars. Any applicable tax and total due are shown before you authorize payment. Authorizing a recurring purchase permits monthly charges until you cancel.

Essential, Plus and Max provide different shared text and newly generated voice allowances. Plus provides 3 times and Max 8 times the Essential allowance. No membership guarantees a fixed number of readings, messages or minutes. The cost of generation, selected model, text length and conversation history affect consumption; a model configured with no generation cost can consume no allowance. Replaying existing audio does not itself use a new generation allowance.

Allowances are shown as percentages. Monthly usage resets for each paid billing period and does not roll over. Purchased extra usage is a one-time purchase, does not automatically renew, and does not expire while your account remains open. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. We do not automatically bill overage charges when your allowance runs out.

Benefits are added after payment verification. Processing can take time; if a paid benefit does not appear, contact support@taroter.app with your receipt reference. Never send your full card number. Stripe processes payments and RevenueCat helps manage purchases; their applicable terms also govern your use of their services. Purchases made in the Taroter Android or iOS app are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and their store terms also apply.

5. Cancellation, account closure and refunds

To stop renewal, open Membership and choose Manage membership & billing. Cancel before the next renewal charge is processed. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, during which paid access remains available. Canceling a membership does not delete your account. If you cannot access cancellation, contact support@taroter.app.

If you purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, manage or cancel that subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Refund requests for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Closing your Taroter account does not cancel a store subscription.

Closing your account from Account settings is different: it stops future membership billing, removes app access and starts removal of your app data. Saved readings and unused allowances become unavailable. The confirmation screen explains these effects before you submit. Certain payment, fraud-prevention, legal and support records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

Except where applicable law provides otherwise, purchases are final once the purchased digital service or benefit has been supplied. Contact support@taroter.app about non-delivery, duplicate or unauthorized charges, defects, or a refund request. We review the circumstances and any mandatory rights. Cancellation does not automatically refund past charges.

Nothing in these terms excludes statutory guarantees, remedies, cooling-off or withdrawal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where immediate digital supply requires a separate request, consent or acknowledgement under local law, that must be obtained through the purchase flow; this paragraph alone does not waive those rights. If we cannot meet a requirement for a particular purchase, contact support before completing it.

6. Your content and our materials

You retain any rights you have in the material you submit. You grant Taroter the permission needed to process, transmit and store that material to provide the service, including processing by the service providers described in the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your input to us.

Our software, branding and original materials belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited right to use them through the service for personal, lawful purposes. AI output may resemble output given to others, may include errors and may not qualify for exclusive intellectual-property protection. We do not promise that you own exclusive rights in generated output or that it is free from third-party claims.

7. Service changes and limitations

We may maintain, update or change the service and its models. Features can be interrupted. We will give notice of material changes affecting paid terms when required, including price changes before they apply to a future renewal. New pricing is not a retroactive charge for usage already purchased.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation or accurate AI output. Any limitation of responsibility applies only where lawful. Nothing excludes liability, consumer protections or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

8. Suspension, disputes and applicable law

We may suspend or end access for material breaches, security threats, fraud, legal requirements or discontinuation of the service. Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us. Termination does not eliminate mandatory refund or consumer rights.

Please contact support@taroter.app first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Subject to mandatory law, these terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, and disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Alberta. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the laws of their place of residence. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

9. Updates and contact

The version date above identifies these terms. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required; we may ask you to accept updated terms to continue using your account. Contact Taroter Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at support@taroter.app for assistance or a copy of the terms that applied to your purchase.
